沈黙の縁に生まれる“気配の詩”を、白い立体としてそっと掬い上げる試み。



はじまり

私は、光と陰のあわいにふと立ちのぼる、
言葉になる前の詩の気配を、白い立体として静かに掬い上げています。

幼い頃、本のページの隙間から立ち上がる“静かな世界”に魅せられました。
その余白の呼吸こそが、のちに《白詩》と名づけることになる、私の創作の源となりました。



探求

2013年、独学で制作を始めて以来、彫金・木工・革・絵画など、
様々な素材を手にしながら、まだ形を持たない物語の気配を探し歩いてきました。
素材が変わるたびに光の質が揺らぎ、そのなかで《白詩》という種子が静かに芽吹いていきました。



発見

2018年、小さな白い造形を空間に点在させ、
それらを一本の白い糸で結ぶインスタレーションを制作しました。
白い点が散り、糸が空気を編むその時間の中で、私は気づきました。

私は“白詩”という、形が生まれる前の白い世界から
断片をそっと拾い上げているのだ、と。

《白詩》とは、意味がまだ沈黙にとどまり、
光と陰が触れ合いながら、ゆっくりと生成していく場所です。
その揺らぎに耳を澄ませ、漂う景色を一つずつ結晶化していきます。



思い

世界が深い静寂と影に包まれた時期を経て、ひとつの確信が宿りました。
わずかでもいい。ほんの一瞬でもいい。
誰かの日常にそっと灯る “小さな光” をつくりたい。

現代には数えきれない気配が流れ込み、
どれが本当の声で、どんな沈黙が護るべきものなのか、曖昧になる瞬間があります。
私はその奔流の中で声を高めるのではなく、
生まれようとする沈黙の側に身を置きたいと感じています。

響き渡る言葉ではなく、光がかすかに揺れる瞬間や、
影がそっと呼吸するわずかな間にこそ、世界がひらかれると信じています。

作品とは、何かを主張する器ではなく、
光と影が沈黙の中でむすぶ “気配の彫刻” です。
ひとつひとつの短編は独立しながらも、余白を通して響き合い、
やがて《白詩》という静かな世界を形づくります。



《白詩》とは、私と作品とのあいだに積み重なった、無言の時間の体積。

これからも私は、その沈黙に耳を澄ませながら、
そこから立ち上がる光の断片を、一つずつ紡いでいきます。

先ずは作業スペースを確保するために、押し入れの拡張作業から始まった。季節の厳しさにも耐えられるよう壁に断熱材を入れ、白い壁に生まれ変わる様子を眺めながら、木部を染め、棚を補強する作業を重ねていく。真夏の暑さの中での木工作業は大変でしたが、暗かった部屋が少しずつ光を取り戻していく時間は、とても楽しく充実していました。

<h2>Beginning</h2>I gather the faint presence of a poem— a quiet breath rising in the meeting of light and shadow, before it becomes a word— and let it settle into the form of a white sculpture.As a child, I was drawn to the silent worlds that seemed to appear between the pages of books. The calm hidden in those margins became the source of what I would later call White Poem.

<h3>One-line Definition</h3>White Poem is the act of lifting the quiet poetry that rises at the edge of silence, and letting it take shape as a white, sculptural form.

<h2>Exploration</h2>Since beginning my practice in 2013, self-taught, I have walked through many materials— metal, wood, leather, paint— seeking the trace of stories not yet born. Each shift in material changed the nature of light, and in that gentle trembling, a small seed named White Poem began to open.

今回も和室の押入れを拡張し、作業しやすい空間へと整えていきました。 経年でふわふわしていた床は思い切って撤去し、新たに断熱材と構造用合板で補強。 木部はいつもの塗料で丁寧に染色し、壁には断熱材の上から白い珪藻土塗料を施工。 石膏ボードの継ぎ目もパテで平滑に整え、押入れも広がり、空間全体が明るく爽やかに生まれ変わりました。

制作を再開して数か月、アトリエはいつの間にか道具や材料が行き交う雑多な“生きた場所”になっていた。小さな作品ひとつの裏側には、その何倍もの道具や機材が息づいている。 倉庫や引き出しの奥では、まだ出番を待つ道具たちが静かに眠りながら、そっと順番を待っている。

押入れ横と階段部分の開口部に、新しい壁をつくる作業。 既存部分を活かしながら、昭和の型板ガラス入り引き戸を丁寧にメンテナンスし、壊すことなく壁として再利用。 開口部には柱を立て、壁を新設し白く塗ると、まるで作品の中のような雰囲気のアトリエに近づきました。

古い畳を撤去し、長い歴史を刻んだ床を水平に整えながら、杉板の無垢材を丁寧に施工。 植物由来の色付けで木目を活かし、白い漆喰の壁とのコントラストが美しい、落ち着いた創作空間に生まれ変わりました。

<h2>Discovery</h2>In 2018, I placed small white forms throughout a space and connected them with a single white thread. As the points drifted and the thread wove the air, I understood something.I had been gathering fragments from a white world— a world that exists before form— and shaping them into what I now call White Poem.White Poem is a place where meaning still rests in silence, where light and shadow touch and slowly begin to grow. I listen to that tremor, and crystallize the faint landscapes that float within it.

明治時代の古民家をアトリエへ再生する最後の工程。 圧迫感のあった襖の骨組みを活かしてリメイクし、程よく光が差し込む建具に。 大正時代の新聞を下地に発見しながら、木部をマットブラックで統一。 採光部にはプラダンを、下部はベニヤで補強し、柱の塗装や漆喰塗り、畳からフローリングへの変更も行い、ついに新アトリエが完成しました。

明治時代に建てられた古民家を、時間の積層を残したまま少しずつ手で整えていった。　 軋む床の音や、木の呼吸でゆるやかに揺れる空気。　 そのすべてが、静かにインスピレーションを運んでくれる。　 ここで生まれる作品は、過去と今がふれあうようにして立ち上がる。
